Red Chambray Asymmetrical Pocket Workshirt
Chambray isn’t just about indigo - although that’s the version we most often see, the fabric itself comes in a variety of shades. We went with red - one of our favorite alternative shirt colors, and a great complement to the core of our summer collection and the Working Class sub-label.
The fabric has a plain weave, combining white warp with colored (red) weft - that’s what chambray is about - with a touch of linen to improve breathability and add more texture. The cut is our signature workshirt with asymmetrical pocket design (one with flap, one without) which we already did in a dark indigo chambray last fall.
This shirt goes with just about everything - pair it with loose trousers or shorts, but also chinos, linen trousers, or even smarter pieces from our main line. It works well on its own with rolled-up sleeves, but also layers nicely - even under a summer blazer, if you’re after something a little less expected. It pairs well with creams and light blues, but also with olive and sandy tones that evoke classic workwear.
