Made to Measure
At Poszetka, besides our RTW collection, we also offer MTM tailoring.
Made-to-measure is a method in which a fitting suit is used to collect the measurements in addition to the ones taken from the body, giving an idea of what the finished garment will look like. This and the fact that the pattern no longer has to be created from scratch means that the MTM system has many advantages over more traditional tailoring, including:
- shorter waiting time - approx. 6 weeks for the finished garment,
- less required visits - usually 3 fittings are enough,
- lower price - suit from EUR 1199 EUR.
In addition, a great convenience is the ability to choose the cut and details based on examples, which allows you to more easily visualize what the finished garment will look like, without worrying about the result. Importantly, we are also able to provide the MTM Express option in just 2 weeks for the finished garment!
All our jackets and suits are a lightweight half-canvas construction - the chest piece is made of several (1-4) layers of canvas, while the lower part is fused. However, we also have a full canvas option available for our MTM service. While the former sewing method is typical of premium producers, the latter is the highest standard in the world of tailoring, usually reserved for bespoke tailoring.
The scope of personalization is huge - from the choice of cut, through details such as the shape of the pockets, the width of the lapels, levels of structure stiffness, and the shape of shouldera, to highly individual details such as embroidery (a monogram or longer saying) or colorful lining. Most of these possibilities apply not only to jackets, but also to coats, jackets, vests and trousers - our MTM system allows for a lot.
When it comes to fabrics, there are thousands of options from the best Italian and British mills, suitable for every occasion and every season.
