Navy and Green Solaro Wool Suit

Instead of opting for the ubiquitous beige and red "standard" solaro cloth, we reached for a more unusual yet arguably more versatile navy and green version - not that there is something wrong with the O.G colors; we just felt like trying something different this time.

This cloth mixes colder shades of navy and green in a classic solaro way - the herringbone is woven using warp and weft in different colors, resulting in a navy surface with green underside showing through in the light. The fabric has a silky hand that makes it drape beautifully and feel luxurious, in a Southern way - we can easily imagine such a suit being worn by a 60s Italian dandy. Or a famous actor. Or an industrialist. Or all of them perhaps, just a bit differently.

The feel and appearance make this suit perfect for ceremonial settings, both during the day and at nighttime. Depending on the accessories, one can extract different tones from the cloth, making it either a formal option for special occasions or a casual, everyday summer suit. White and blue shirts are always a good blank canvas for experimenting, but do not be afraid to throw stripes into the mix - they work phenomenally well with the herringbone pattern.
