Japanese collection, Kunisada Utagawa, "Oiran and Kamuro"
An artwork made by japanese artist Utagawa Kunisada (1786-1864) transferred onto one our favourite fabrics - unusually light and fluid mixture of cotton, modal and cashmere.
The original artwork was created using painted woodcut relief technique, depicting Oiran and Kamuro during the festive occassion of sakura-matsuri (the day of blossoming cherries).
