Pocket Square 'Poland's Wedding to the Sea' Wojciech Kossak
Artwork: 'Poland's Wedding to the Sea’
Author: Wojciech Kossak
This is a limited pocket square created to celebrate Poland’s Independence Day. It’s our nod to a moment that symbolically confirmed Poland’s return to the Baltic Sea.
In February 1920, in the town of Puck, Commander Józef Haller, together with state authorities, held a ceremony known as the “Wedding of Poland to the Sea,” during which Poland’s guardianship and connection to the Baltic were symbolically affirmed.
We have printed this pocket square on pure silk from the Como region of Italy. As with all our pocket squares, the edges are hand-rolled by our skilled craftswomen here in Katowice.
