Barbour Classic Beaufort Olive

There are classics that don’t need to be reinterpreted or improved; classics that are perfect just the way they are – and Barbour jackets belong exactly in that category. For years they have been considered the benchmark for waxed rainproof jackets, which is why this season Poszetka’s collection is complemented by a range of models from this maker. Importantly, only from their classic line of the brand, which is still produced in the UK.

The Beaufort is the brand’s most recognizable model, present in the lineup continuously since 1983. The jacket is, we’d say, typical of the style: roomy and long, reaching below the hips; featuring characteristic details such as a corduroy collar, two-way zipper, tartan lining, flap pockets, and a concealed back pocket (the so-called “game pocket”). It’s a cut that has remained an icon of functionality and style for decades. The Olive color - a very dark green - is highly versatile: it matches earthy browns, greys, navy, and black, while providing a beautiful contrast to light tones like cream or beige.

Today, such a jacket can still be worn in the classic British spirit, with Shetland sweaters and tweeds – but also in a more contemporary way, e.g. with jeans and workshirts from our Working Class label. Thanks to its length, it layers perfectly over tailored outfits as well - both with sportcoats and suits.
