Gray Donegal Tweed Blouson
This is one of our favorite casual jacket styles – inspired by the wool shirt-jackets of the US Army from the Korean War era, it has evolved at Poszetka into a full-fledged outerwear piece, a versatile everyday option.
The buttoned front allows you to fasten it up to the neck, two roomy pockets can hold gloves, for example, and the collar can be turned up for protection against the cold. The simplicity of the cut lets the fabric take center stage – and this one is a heavyweight: we made it from coat-grade Donegal Tweed weighing 750g per running meter, solid, thick, and resistant to the cold.
The herringbone in a dark gray shade, decorated with tiny flecks in a range of tones from yellow and red to pink and blue, makes a great base for bolder color combinations or for incorporating black into an everyday outfit. Thanks to its weight and looser cut, this is a piece you can wear instead of a blazer in autumn or instead of a winter jacket, paired, for example, with a turtleneck or a Shetland wool sweater.
