'The Katowice' Black Derby

In our 15th anniversary year, we’re revisiting products that have passed through Poszetka’s lineup and become bestsellers – and we couldn’t leave out “our” shoe design, the The Katowice model, which debuted in 2018! Today it returns in a refreshed form, crafted in collaboration with a Spanish manufactory with a long-standing tradition, where all Poszetka-branded shoes are now made.

Like other models, this one is also made using the Goodyear welt method. The upper is crafted from calf leather sourced from the Italian tannery Conceria Tolio, this time in black, grained leather – symbolically referencing coal, Silesia’s black gold. A sturdy rubber sole makes the shoes ready for European winters, while the Norwegian split toe design blends classic style with a casual touch – our Everyday Classic in a version for colder months.

These are black shoes designed with everyday wear in mind – though they can just as easily be worn on special occasions. Time and again they prove more versatile than brown… something we write more about in the Essentials part of the latest issue of the Everyday Classic Magazine.
