Barbour Ashby Navy

There are classics that don’t need to be reinterpreted or improved; classics that are perfect just the way they are – and Barbour jackets belong exactly in that category. For years they have been considered the benchmark for waxed rainproof jackets, which is why this season Poszetka’s collection is complemented by a range of models from this maker.

The Ashby is the younger brother of the Beaufort and Bedale, introduced in 2011. It has a more tailored silhouette and a slimmer cut, making it a better fit for taller and slimmer builds. Its length allows the jacket to be worn comfortably both with a jacket and in more casual outfits. The Navy colorway looks almost black - it’s a calm, highly versatile tone, far from the stereotypical British Country look.

Today, such a jacket can still be worn in the classic British spirit, with Shetland sweaters and tweeds – but also in a more contemporary way, e.g. with jeans and workshirts from our Working Class label… or a suit and tie, even.
