Navajo-Style Pattern Jacket

This is a continuation of a silhouette you might remember from our fall jackets, now reimagined in a lighter, summer-friendly version. The design is inspired by woolen military jackets from the Korean War era, and it turns out to feel surprisingly contemporary, especially when worn as an overshirt, especially when remade in lighter fabrics. We wanted to offer something beyond classic checks - a more unusual pattern, reminiscent of Gamefeather Tweed we did last winter - looking for a fabric with deep roots in menswear.

The fact that Tomek is more and more fond of western style inspired our searches - we went with a cotton woven on jacquard looms in Navajo-inspired motif by All Blue, a Japanese mill from Okayama Prefecture known for its denim (and everything Americana) expertise. This Native American kind of pattern has long-standing ties to workwear; it was embraced by cowboys, later adopted into casual clothing, and now reemerges in modern interpretations.

Even with such an interesting backstory, you can wear it as just a versatile summer jacket. The colors - blue, cream white, and red - work seamlessly with our collection. The fabric is lightweight, making the piece more of an overshirt, with the same comfortable cut as our fall versions. It complements the Working Class collection perfectly, but it can also serve as a standout piece in a more understated outfit. It’s something a little different - and that’s exactly why it’s worth having.
