White Crinkled Cotton Popover Shirt

The popover style has been often associated with more "sartorial" looks in the last few years, but its roots are much simpler - workwear, utility, everyday functionality. For us, it’s also a natural part of a relaxed summer wardrobe, which is why it appears under the WWCCC label as part of our more casual Working Class series. It’s meant to be comfortable and practical not giving up on style - and that’s exactly what it is.

We made it from crinkled Japanese cotton fabric - lightweight and breathable; similar in comfort to cotton seersucker. The unstructured open collar was designed with relaxed summer wear in mind. Add to that a chest pocket - where you can put a slim wallet or a pair of sunglasses - and you get a versatile hot-weather shirt.

The white color makes it truly versatile - easy to match with different wardrobes and color palettes; both workwear and more elegant. Works great on its own during the hottest days or layered under a lightweight overshirt or a sportcoat, even - with shorts, loose trousers, or tailored linen ones.
