Black 3-Ply Wool Suit

A black suit doesn’t have to be reserved only for the most formal (or sorrowful) occasions. Today, it can carry a whole new energy: it can be super classic or strikingly fashion-forward. We’ve been thinking about this one for two seasons - gradually introducing black into the collection, getting comfortable with it, and seeing it in a new light. And here it is: a black suit that simply looks great. No strict rules, just plenty of potential to wear it your own way.

It’s made from 3-ply wool with an open weave and a substantial weight that makes it wearable year-round. The fabric has a matte texture with a springy hand - similar to tropical wool - and deep tone that makes that suit much more daylight-friendly than the shiny black eveningwear. The cut is classic and refined in its details, but without any unnecessary fuss, also thanks to the light construction and half-lining.

We recommend styling it one of two ways - black and white, with either a shirt, a T-shirt, a turtleneck; or the opposite, with a a bold pop of color, as black makes the perfect backdrop. You can treat it as an evening suit, a wedding suit, or just an everyday set - it all comes down to how you style it. It looks great at night, but with the right texture and contrast, it can get you through a day, too.
