We have to admit, we have a soft spot for this cut—even though it’s more casual than what we usually do. But hey, sometimes you need a break from chinos or jeans, right? Something a little more workwear-inspired, a little more directional. That’s why we introduced these under our WWCCC ‘Working Class’ label, drawing inspiration from the tough, utilitarian garments of the past - now reimagined for everyday wear.

Carpenter pants are easily one of the most iconic workwear trouser styles. You could call them tuned-up jeans - partly for their role in today’s wardrobe - with their signature side tool pocket (which, let’s be honest, is just as useful for sunglasses or keys these days) and a double knee (in our version, seamlessly integrated with deep front pockets for a cleaner silhouette). As we developed the design, we realized these trousers are actually closer to our sartorial world than we first expected. In fact, they’d even make an excellent pair for tailors: reinforced knees for durability when taking measurements, extra pockets for scissors and a tape measure, and a relaxed cut for easy movement whether sitting, standing, or kneeling. The fabric - a Japanese-made cotton bedford cord - is another detail true enthusiasts will appreciate: rare yet versatile, tough yet rich in heritage.

These trousers are true all-rounders - versatile enough for just about anything short of the sharpest tailoring. Wear them with a blazer and an OCBD for a Japanese-inspired look or just pair them with overshirts, t-shirts, and sweatshirts.
