Navy, Rust and Beige Camo Jacket

In our Working Class collection, we wanted to include a strong piece that will not only be easily distinguishable but will also bring together all the colors of the collection: rust, navy, beige, and olive. In the end, we did both a jacket and trousers in the same fabric… but we still recommend wearing these pieces separately.

In our search for the perfect pattern combining these colors, we have stumpled upon Alpenflage camo. Although this type of camo might seem wild at first glance, it surprisingly fits into a modern wardrobe more easily than many conventional brown-and-green camouflages! Ours is slightly different from the 1957 original - we used a Japanese cotton printed in this Swiss-army-inspired camouflage, which incorporates navy instead of black, shifting the color palette even further into an urban direction.

As for the cut, we came up with our own that does not feel so obviously military - it is loosely based on an old pattern RAF smock that enamored us with its one-of-a-kind upper breast pockets, but now buttons all the way down and has bottom pockets added to serve as hand warmers. Also, the proportions are balanced with casual outfits, not combat in mind - while all the unnecessary details such as epaulets are taken off for a streamlined look and ease of wear in modern settings, with our motto in mind: workwear of the past, for the labour of today.

About fabric: The Working Class series is made from durable fabrics designed to withstand the test of time. Apart from the denim, these are all unwashed and untreated - they start tough but soften with each wear. Depending on how you treat them, they will develop a unique patina and wear pattern.
