Tobacco Linen Suit

We've mentioned before that certain colors work exceptionally well with specific fabrics, creating striking and memorable results. This holds true for tobacco linen, a cloth that consistently makes for a beautiful summer suit and is definitely among our seasonal favorites.

For our tobacco linen suit, we went with a 100% linen woven by Albini, in a proper weight (340g) that allows it to rumple softly, not crease and lose shape quickly. The open-weave fabric, along with minimal quarter-lining, ensures breathability and comfort in the heat, while our signature light half-canvas construction and 3-roll-2 closure add a stylish touch suitable for both everyday wear and special occasions. Also, for this suit we went with the spalla camicia shoulder to give it a bit of southern Italian flair.

The blue shirt and navy grenadine tie combo will give you the Milanese banker look, while opting for a popover or knitted t-shirt as a base layer removes any stuffiness, making the ensemble inherently casual. For other occasions, consider wearing the tobacco linen suit as separates - the jacket pairs beautifully with grey tropical wool trousers and denim, while the trousers complement a navy blazer perfectly.
