Navy and Green Knitted Rugby Shirt

A refined take on a classic rugby shirt, made on par with our knitwear - we used a tad thicker yarn for that beefy feel, retaining the pleasant silkiness to make it comfortable even directly on bare skin. Our Knitted Rugby Shirt is made with 10cm wide ribbing (both on the sleeves and at the bottom) that makes it easier to roll the sleeves and more akin to a vintage-inspired sweater than a casual sweatshirt.

Blue and green is a tried and tested classic among the rugby shirts, hitting just the right spot between being playful and serious - but we tipped the scale our way, making both the cuffs and the collar in navy to make it less flashy and easier to wear. We kept the classic 4”/10cm block stripe design as both a nod to the originals and as a way for you to combine this pattern easily with others - such as bold check on your tweed sportcoat or an overcoat.

Our Knitted Rugby Shirt fits a little slimmer than the original, so that you can wear them both as a polo shirt or as a layering piece. Pair it with your favourite sportcoat (or a blazer!) as a base layer, throw over a simple shirt (OCBDs work great) or just wear it casually in a weekend jeans and trainers ensemble.
