The Młyn - Our Creative Space in Katowice
When presenting the Przedwiośnie/Early Spring collection lookbook, we briefly mentioned that this is the first photoshoot we produced in our own studio - yes, our very own! You must know that this is not for boasting, but it is the beginning of something bigger, a harbinger of changes that will root Poszetka even more firmly in Katowice, and at the same time push the entire brand a step further. The expansion will affect both the store, our creative and marketing department, and the e-commerce warehouse... but let's not get ahead of ourselves, there will be more to talk about throughout 2025.
In the meantime, welcome the new creative space, which we have affectionately christened The Młyn (młyn meaning mill in Polish) - the first of the new premises on Morcinka Street!
Tomek, why the nickname The Młyn?
It started with a need. For some time, our creative department has been evolving in terms of personnel and was thrown around various “offices” that were not really a work-friendly space... finally, we said enough! A new place has been created and we have expanded our “creative department" - also people-wise - to the size and shape we felt we needed.
The Młyn is the name we use both for the department itself and the location. On the one hand, it is a place where we "grind" ideas and launch our campaigns. On the other hand, it is here that we create collections, choose fabrics, work on construction and styles. Something more than marketing - more detailed than an agency, more precise than outsourcing - all creative processes grouped in one place.
We have added the preposition The to the Polish word Młyn as a little joke to emphasize the worldwide aspect, while the młyn/mill name feels the right word to describe what’s happening there, because the specificity of this department's work is... non-standard, haha!
Would you like to reveal a little more about what else will be happening at Morcinka street in 2025?
Of course. We have just moved our warehouse there - it will be very close to the showroom. Work is underway on a new space for the tailoring studio, and at the same time we are redesigning our showroom.
To reveal even more, I can reveal that we are doubling the area of the Poszetka store to accommodate more new products, which should be quite a treat for our customers - and another reason to visit us in person, since there will be some exclusives there…
