Post Scriptum: Outfit Narrative’s Capsule Collection

Last month, Suzan (@outfitnarrative) visited us in Katowice. During his trip, the idea emerged to arrange his favorite Poszetka FW2024 & Working Class pieces into a ‘capsule wardrobe’ concept that would reflect his taste and serve as a foundation for a thoughtfully curated winter wardrobe. You can bet we were on board!

In my capsule collection, I focused on showing how each piece can be styled and how they work together. For each item, I highlighted 3 outfits that offer the most contrast to one another.

I’ll start with what is the perfect base for a relaxed outfit: Olive HBT pants paired with a simple off-white heavy-duty T-shirt. With such a simple look, wearing a contrasting bandana in classic blue or red will add personality and a more vintage vibe. This is a very masculine, military-inspired, but timeless look. If you layer it with a chambray shirt open over a T-shirt, it can make the outfit even more casual.

I know a lot of people avoid wearing so much white or are even against it, but I love this clean look when I want to put the focus of the outfit on the jacket. Here, you can see how much of a difference a jacket can make. Again, with such a simple look, adding a colorful neckerchief, bandana, or even a tie can make the outfit a lot more interesting and it lets you add a personal touch with the colors you choose to wear that day. With a clean outfit like this, I usually go for a bold accessory.

More ways to wear a chambray shirt. In my opinion, chambray shirt works best when paired with white jeans. White and blue create a great contrast, making this outfit perfect for all year, but it's best in summer. As you can see, when paired with a navy blazer, the chambray shirt can work in a more sartorial way. It can also work with wool jackets and overshirts, but you need to be more careful as it might clash with some colors. Finally, here's another outfit that's heavily military-inspired. This look is darker than when paired with white jeans, making it a great alternative for those who prefer darker trousers.

And here are more ways to wear an orange Shetland sweater. I love this piece because orange is such a rare color in menswear, so whenever I get the chance to wear it, I always take it! In the form of a Shetland sweater, it might just be my favorite way to wear this color. It adds so much life to a dark, grey autumn or winter day, and I’m sure it will make you smile more when you wear it. On top of all that, it works great with so many different looks. It pairs perfectly with very casual clothes, as shown in my capsule collection, but it can also work with more serious looks, like with these two very different jackets - it looks completely different with each one.

This simple navy merino rollneck is such a versatile piece. It works great with tailoring or with jeans. When it comes to jeans, I prefer to wear it with white for a stronger contrast between the trousers and the sweater, but it also pairs perfectly with washed blue or indigo jeans. You can create a totally different aesthetic with each of these options. I’ve already shown how differently it looks when paired with a navy blazer or a Gamefeather Blouson. You can really see the difference a jacket makes - while the Olive HBT shirt gives the look a more casual vibe, the trench coat makes the whole look much more serious.

I think the capsule collection, along with all these looks, really shows how versatile these pieces are. I hope this can help someone put together something different with the clothes they already own or decide which new piece can add the most variety to their current wardrobe.
