Gray Chambray Workshirt
This is a darker take on the classic workshirt we introduced last year. A shirt with two chest pockets, made from a heavier cotton canvas.
Even though it’s a different, sturdier fabric than the one used in our asymmetric-pocket shirt, it’s still a type of chambray. Instead of the usual indigo, this one mixes a white warp with black weft threads, creating a melange shade of grey. At first the fabric feels quite stiff and solid, but over time it softens and develops more character, slowly changing with each wear and each wash.
We went with teardrop-shaped flap pockets, a soft long-point collar, and a three-panel reinforced sleeve (with a shorter cuff opening), all signature details of our Working Class shirts. Just like the others in the series, it has a slightly roomier cut, wider than our usual slim fits (but not oversized), so it works both tucked in or worn out.
Such workshirt can be worn on its own, open over a T-shirt, or even under a sportcoat - also with a tie.
