Japanese collection Utagawa Kunisada, Kataoka Nizaemon the actor
An artwork made by japanese artist Utagawa Kunisada (1786-1864) transferred onto one our favourite fabrics - unusually light and fluid mixture of cotton, modal and cashmere.
The original artwork was created using painted woodcut relief technique, depicting the actor Kataoka Nizaemon VIII (1810-1864) playing Sato Masakiyo.
