Brown & Navy Solaro Wool Suit
Although solaro wool is typically associated with the spring/summer season, we don’t view it as strictly seasonal. When the weight and color are just right, a solaro suit can be a versatile year-round option - or even a fall/winter focused one, just like this one.
For our suit, we chose a proper-weight (370g) ‘winter solaro’ cloth woven by Vitale Barberis Canonico. True to solaro tradition, it features a bi-colored weave, but instead of the classic beige and red, we opted for a rich brown and navy combination. The blue subtly shines through, adding depth and character, while the interior of the jacket showcases the color in its full charm - we left it only partially lined for the visual effect.
One of the standout features of this fabric is its chameleon-like ability to adapt its look based on the colors paired with it. When styled with greens and earthy tones, it presents as a sophisticated brown suit. In contrast, paired with navy and cooler hues, it transforms into a sharp business suit suited for city settings. It carries a touch of old-professor charm while feeling refreshingly modern!
