Beige Shetland Polo
We believe there is no substitute for proper Shetland knitwear - so once again, for the fall/winter season, we are introducing a range of these beautiful knits made for us in the North-East of Scotland by a nearly century-old knitting company, using locally spun wool from Shetland-variety sheep.
Among the classic crewnecks and rollnecks, we’re debuting a collared version this fall. Think of it as a blend of Ivy, Italian, and Old-Money aesthetics - something that could be worn by Mr. Ripley… or rather Dickie Greenleaf. It’s no coincidence we’ve chosen this delicate sand tone: it pairs beautifully with white denim, gray tailored trousers, and all sorts of minimalist outfits in grey, beige, and cool brown tones. The texture plays a key role as well: we’ve opted for a double-brushed finish, usually reserved for our plain crewnecks, to add a touch of casual softness and extra coziness.
Our Shetland knitwear generally wears warm, so you can definitely wear it on its own, as a casual alternative for a jacket - however, it will also look great as a layering piece for those chillier days, introducing a subtle pop of color and texture into your outfit.
Care Guide:
This sweater can be either dry cleaned (which is ultimately what we recommend) or hand-washed - if you choose the latter option, please use only a wool friendly detergent in cool water. Dry flat and gently reshape whilst still damp.
Please note wool does not need to be washed as much, because it naturally resists moisture and bacteria.
Remember…
- Never machine wash
- Never hand wash in hot water
- Never wash in non-wool detergent
