Navy, Green and Beige Checked Sportcoat

The transitional season calls for wardrobe pieces that transition just as well - like this mid-weight, worsted wool checked sport coat. We have it just in time for that peculiar period of the year when it’s already too late to expect proper winter and too early to call it spring, at least here, in our Central European climate. As per usual for checked sportcoats, its true versatility lies in the colors featured in the mix. Here, the dominant color is blue, but the yarns represent a broad palette ranging from ecru, through green and brown (popping up as alternating overcheck), up to black accents that effectively turn blue to navy. All this makes the jacket an easy-to-wear wardrobe staple that might be worn daily, allowing you to easily swap different pieces for different looks.

It pairs beautifully with denim, both light and dark - but if you need to make the look more classic, just switch the pair of jeans for tailored trousers in wool gabardine or cotton cavalry twill.
