Once again, we are supporting the initiatives of the House of Guardian Angels (Dom Aniołów Stróżów). By purchasing this scarf, you are aiding an organization that has been working for nearly 30 years to help children and youth from post-mining districts of Silesia and Zagłębie. The entire revenue from the sale of this product goes to the account of the House of Guardian Angels.
"I met Monika Bajka when I was a city councilor. She's an angelic lioness who has been steadfastly supporting the House of Guardian Angels for years, fighting against the environment, including the system. This system, while helpful, operates under certain conditions, only open at designated hours and within specific boundaries. Angels operate differently. They work on the streets, spotting the first signs of homelessness. They are more like therapists, who find time after hours to listen to you. Persistent, as they follow you down the street asking if they can help, or come to your home to do homework with you on the stairwell.
In the era of the pandemic and the chronic shortage of psychologists and speech therapists, this is their everyday reality. They fight for every young person who might become part of even more dramatic statistics among the youth.
The 'La Retraite aux Flambeaux' scarf is our contribution to supporting this street 'psychologist.' It can be seen as a warning flare, lit by children in the crisis of homelessness." - Tomek
