What is the most versatile pair of trousers? Only one right answer - chinos!
As many pieces of a modern man's wardrobe, chino trousers trace their roots to military. The first kind of these were worn by british soldiers in tropical India. The simple cut and durable fabrics used in their production, quickly made them a favourite among civilians.
Originally made only in one colour, khaki, nowadays many colours are to be found. Usually sewn from a thicker cotton twill. Their versatility caught special attention during the second half of the XX century, when they were made especially popular in academic circles, at the same time becoming a staple of the Preppy style.
So what's all the fuss about? They're solid, durable, easy to clean (machine washable), can be worn all year round, as the fabric isn't strictly seasonal.
Our chinos are sewn from a cotton twill, pre-washed so they come with a slight, casual patina. The waist is equipped with 8 belt loops and a buckle loop in the front (the keep the buckle in the proper position). As a standard, our trousers sport two back pockets fastened with horn buttons. We've decided on a slightly higher rise for a more comfortable fit and decent proportions.
