Burgundy Herringbone Sportcoat

Our spring–summer jacket collection is built around soft colors, subtle textures, and lightweight fabrics the kind that work well for everyday wear and remain comfortable as the temperature rises.

Fabric-wise, this sportcoat is a sibling to the Glen Check model, but instead of a pronounced pattern, it features a subtle herringbone that blends burgundy fibers with grey-beige ones. As a result, the color remains muted and, depending on the light, can shift between brown, classic burgundy and subtle plum violet. In terms of construction, this is a lightweight jacket in the Italian style we tend to reach for: half-canvas, without shoulder pads, with natural shoulder line, curved barchetta chest pocket, and patch side pockets.

This shade fits well within a warm summer palette - with beiges and browns - but also works as a contrast in the “city” combinations, with grey trousers and other formal classics. It works with shirts and summer knits, linens and wools, with or without a tie - and in the transitional season also with denim, which complements its matte, slightly textured finish.
