Undyed Cotton 'Vintage Cut' Sweatshirt

If we’re making a sweatshirt, it has to have something more. Ours may look simple at first glance, but it hides a number of details that make it anything but an ordinary basic. Even though it carries the label of our more casual Working Class line, it is wholeheartedly part of Poszetka’s range and our Everyday Classic philosophy.

Even the jersey we used is far from standard, we opted for undyed cotton yarns to achieve a cream-beige-grey mélange, then garment-washed it to eliminate shrinkage and soften the hand from the very beginning. The construction is based on our saddle shoulder cut, which combines comfort (allowing ease of movement) with a subtle stylistic edge. It’s a vintage detail that has unfortunately disappeared from most knitwear today due to its complexity in production. Fortunately, we worked with a local Polish workshop that handled the task perfectly! The triangular ribbing detail at the neck is not just decorative, we made it functional thanks to the way it was constructed; it makes pulling the sweatshirt over your head easier and helps reinforce the neckline, preventing it from stretching out over time.

Designing the cut, we aimed for a vintage-inspired silhouette that we love: slightly shorter length, designed to sit at the waist (preferably paired with high- or mid-rise trousers), with thick ribbing that helps the sweatshirt stay in place and gather just enough fabric to allow easy movement when you raise your arms.

The comfortable fit and timeless detailing make this sweatshirt an easy addition to any wardrobe, men’s or women’s, casual or more refined, as it truly embodies workwear of the past, for the labour of today motto.
