Wool Denim Trousers

We love denim, and for a long time we searched for its more elegant counterpart, one that would truly convince us and become not so much a replacement, but something capable of standing alongside it, offering a more formal, “classic” option. Eventually, we found a fabric that combines the depth of indigo denim with the behavior typical of wool, a subtle sheen and a sharp crease included.

These trousers are made from 100% wool by Vitale Barberis Canonico, woven like denim. On the reverse side, you can see light beige weft yarns subtly shining through the dark indigo warp, building the color in a way characteristic of traditional denim. The fabric feels silky to the touch and naturally retains its color, without the patina and fading typical of classic cotton denim.

They work particularly well paired with tailored jackets, not only the kind you would normally wear with jeans, creating a coordinated look with a subtle nod to casual classics. Alternatively, they are an excellent foundation for minimalist outfits, styled simply with a shirt or a T-shirt. The higher rise, single pleat, and side adjusters elevate the otherwise straightforward combination, acting as the best possible accessory in their own right.
