The Classic Chore Coat

Chore coat is already a classic — and a permanent part of the Working Class label, alongside our chambray shirts, “POSZ-53” trousers, and “Heavy Duty” knitwear.

It first debuted at Poszetka in 2024, in the first edition of our casual WWCCC series, and became a bestseller almost immediately. Since then, it has returned in several seasonal versions — but the indigo denim iteration is the most classic, and perhaps the most versatile, of them all.

The fabric is 13 oz Japanese broken twill denim, a construction in which every second yarn breaks the diagonal twill pattern, creating a subtle zigzag effect that becomes visible up close. The finished jacket is rinsed to gently soften the fabric and removes the risk of shrinkage in further washes.

It is one of those workwear pieces that easily fits into a contemporary wardrobe — four practical front pockets and sportcoat-like proportions make the chore coat work both as a comfortable casual jacket and as a blazer alternative for everyday outfits. A subtly modernized classic that perfectly illustrates the workwear of the past, for the labour of today motto.
