Navy Boiled Wool Ulster Coat

Ulster coats have always been the backbone of our FW coat selection—we love that classic-yet-modern, cozy-but-tailored cut and couldn't imagine a cold season without it. This year, our bestselling boiled wool model makes its return: a timeless coat built around our Everyday Classic philosophy.

For the classic navy, we chose a thick (620g) Italian boiled wool, woven in Tuscany. This fabric is similar in texture to Casentino, thanks to the production process - shrinking the yarn by approximately 30% gives the fabric great density and weather resistance as well as the unique felted texture.

The coat features all the details we believe every true Ulster Coat should have: a double-breasted 6x2 closure, storm collar, half-belt back, turn-back cuffs, and patch pockets with flaps, all finished off with the perfect length - falling just below the knee on most silhouettes.

Wear it over a suit, separates, thick sweaters, or even more casual garments; such a classic coat will go with practically anything. The dark navy tone makes it an ideal addition to any business wardrobe, but it’s just as stylish over a gray chalk-stripe flannel suit on weekdays as it is over a gray sweatshirt and a pair of washed jeans on weekends.
