Dark Brown Moleskin “POSZ-53” Trousers

POSZ-53 is our tried-and-true cut, inspired by one of the most versatile military designs from the US Army – the rare P-53 – which forms the foundation of the trouser line in our more casual Working Class collection.

They’re an alternative to chinos, in a slightly more workwear-inspired style: the cut is simple (flat front, belt loops, side seam pockets) and comfortable (high rise, wider leg), but not boring (patch back pockets, metal buttons). These trousers are all about comfort and durability – that’s why we make the summer and year-round versions of this style mostly from HBT cotton, with its military and workwear roots, while this distinctly fall-and-winter variant is made from moleskin, a fabric closely associated with both workwear and British Country aesthetics. This dense, tightly woven cotton has long been valued for its ability to protect against the cold — and we’d add its pleasantly soft hand to the list of advantages, making these trousers a genuine pleasure to wear.

They work equally well with outfits inspired by both of those worlds: workshirts and Shetland sweaters, military jackets and waxed jackets, cool, technical tones and warm earthy colors. But beyond that, they also fit right into simple everyday outfits — with or without a sportcoat; in the spirit of Everyday Classic.
