Tomek [Godziek, Poszetka]: Unitra is a piece of my childhood. My first cassette recorder was a Kasprzak – naturally, an Unitra product. My first real musical discoveries came when my older brother – unexpectedly – threw me at the deep end of the rock music by Marillion. Then there were countless hours spent listening to Poland’s legendary Radio Three, recording homemade playlists onto cassettes, and dance parties in our family flat. That’s how my musical DNA was formed […].

Wiktor [Szulfer, UNITRA]: We have a great deal in common. At Unitra, our products deliberately reference the golden age of hi-fi – the 1970s and 1980s – when the stereo system archetype was born. The pursuit of timelessness and classic design is exactly what I find in Poszetka’s approach to tailoring. There’s another fascinating tension we deliberately cultivate: we create high-end luxury audio equipment but we’re heavily inspired by the uncompromising aesthetics of professional industrial equipment. Everything we do at Unitra revolves around one core idea: the beauty of Polish engineering.

Mateusz [Tryjanowski, Poszetka/WWCCC]: So, workwear it is. We expected no other answer to the question of how the sartorial collaboration between Unitra and Poszetka should proceed. […] Following the path of a uniform-inspired set felt inevitable. It evokes that slightly romanticized – or deliberately stylized, as seen in press photos from the 1960s and 1970s – image of the engineer: someone for whom a suit would be too much, but overalls not quite enough. Someone sitting behind a desk, but working equally hard with their mind and hands, a pencil and a soldering iron. Interestingly, we didn’t have to delve very far into the past to justify that vision, because, essentially, needs are the same today – many of us work in environments that call for neither strict business attire nor literal workwear.
