Terroir Barczentewicz

Terroir Barczentewicz

A year ago, we visited Kamil’s winery while celebrating Poszetka’s 15th anniversary and gathering material for our Everyday Classic magazine. That meeting turned into a friendship — and, quite naturally, as the idea has sprung up while having a dinner together, into a collaboration!

Just as nature is coming to life, including in the vineyard — after our Early Spring and just before the premiere of our spring collection — we introduce Terroir Barczentewicz, our collection that unites two seemingly distant worlds, brought together by a shared aesthetic sensitivity and approach to quality.

We've transferred Kamil’s distinctive labels to Poszetka's signature products – pocket squares and scarves handmade in Katowice – and complement the selection with two practical pieces, a tote bag and an apron made from heavyweight 18oz cotton canvas. Together, we've created items that can be appreciated by style enthusiasts, Polish wine enthusiasts, and simply fans of beautiful objects – regardless of their level of expertise.

Kamil and Anna Barczentewicz — a husband-and-wife duo — live and work in Dobre, near Kazimierz Dolny. Kamil is one of the most respected winemakers in Poland, while Anna creates ceramics that find their way onto tables both locally and abroad. They share a strong sense of aesthetics — something that clearly shows in their work, and something we instantly connected over. That’s really where this collection comes from.

The embroidery you can see on the bag and apron is also a work of art – each piece was individually decorated by Ania and her father, who is an artistic embroiderer.

The Kamil Barczentewicz winery's label designs are the work of Motif Studio – we transferred the Pinot Blanc (in a multiplied form, arranged in a mosaic) and Dobre Modre designs onto silk and wool, respectively.

The first pattern is available in two sizes: 40x40 cm, which can be used as a pocket square or small bandana, and 65x65 cm, which can be used as a square scarf by both men and women, depending on how it's folded and tied.

The second one is only available in a smaller, pocket square/bandana format.

During the studio session, Ania and Kamil dropped by with their heavily worn Barbour Beaufort (in the Bark colorway) from last fall, as well as their favorite shirts, after almost a year of intensive use. These are two chambrays from the Working Class series – a lighter sage green with asymmetrical pockets, and a thicker gray with flap pockets.

See how the patina looks after a couple dozen washes, without additional ironing for the photos!

Finally, we'd like to leave you with a few more views from our visit to Dobre last year – the inspiring place where this collaboration was born.

And probably the best place to get acquainted with Polish wine and winemaking. At least we are convinced so!

P.S. If you would like to go there too - Kamil invites you.
